Usually, most people feel relatively okay after a week or two, but swelling and bruising can last a bit longer—sometimes a few weeks to a couple of months. I’d recommend taking at least a week off work, and avoiding strenuous activities for several weeks. Many say their noses felt pretty normal after about 6 weeks, but some swelling that takes longer to resolve. It really helps to follow your surgeon’s instructions closely. If you decide to go ahead, make sure to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon or ENT specialist—they’ll guide you best through recovery!

i actually had a different experience regarding those first few days being rough. for me, it wasn’t painful or heavy at all, just incredibly annoying because of the mouth breathing. the real struggle was the crazy dry throat and chapped lips from having to keep my mouth open to breathe 24/7. i didn’t feel like my face had a weight on
The day they took my cast off was wild, my nose looked so tiny and piggy from the swelling. I was also shocked by how much my upper lip felt stiff and couldn’t move normally for a while.
